In order to set an example for a bicycle-friendly city, the Leipzig based environment-association Ökolöwe organizes for the 6th time the Leipziger Radnacht (Leipzig Cycling Night). On 30 August, the tour begins in the Clara Zetkin Park, leads over the inner city ring road and through the south of Leipzig and ends again in the Clara Zetkin Park. There you can enjoy music, food and drinks. Anyone can join in, participation is free of charge.
At the same time, the Leipziger Radnacht also serves as a prelude to the nationwide city cycling competition “Stadtradeln”, which also wants to draw attention to more attractive cycling traffic and climate protection. For three weeks you can collect bike kilometres for your team and the city of Leipzig. Even without winnings, this is a great campaign, but there are still many great prizes to be won by cyclists.
