Our Sleepy Lion Hostel, Youth Hotel and Apartment complex is conveniently situated right in the town centre.
It is just a few steps away from the Thomaskirche, the Stasi museum, the zoo, the main station, the Kneipenviertel (area of town with a large number of bars and restaurants), the Leipzig Arena, the Bach Museum, the Nikolaikirche, the Moritzbastei and many of Leipzig’s other sights and places of interest.

Our beautiful Wilhelminian style building was completely refurbished in 2011 and has disabled access.

It’s easy to reach the trade fair grounds by public transport, and the main station is visible from the hostel. The Sleepy Lion Youth Hostel, Hotel and Apartment complex was the first backpacker hostel in Leipzig, and one of the first hostels in the whole of Germany.
